The Field is Swedish techno boy Axel Willner, who released the excellent album Looping State of Mind on Kompakt Records in 2011. Is this power is the opening track of the album and has the impact of an earthquake.

Classic: The Balanescu Quartet - The Model (Kraftwerk)

 

Twenty years ago, Alexander Bălănescu of the avant-garde string quartet The Balanescu Quartet came up with the idea to cover The Model, electronic pioneers Kraftwerk's biggest hit. Despite three original compositions, the rest of the album Possessed (1992) only contained Kraftwerk remakes. Possessed became a timeless album and still is.
